The Tech program is a highly developed series of specific tests and certifications for processes that are designed specifically to the customers needs. In this process the employee must be certified in all operations before advancing to the next level. This supplies a stratified course of development that guarantees that the employee’s progression is in accordance with their skill sets and abilities.

This program is delivered in weekly training sessions. Individual employee progress is tracked in a training matrix that reflects their overall janitorial technician level and current certification status. The weekly training session consists of two parts: the training topic is presented and discussed followed by the certification test. A compliance level of 100% is required to be certified. The employee’s performance is audited on a daily basis by his or her shift supervisor and is followed by an annual evaluation by the department manager.

Of course, with every new customer comes the development of a customized training program for the employees assigned to the site, based on the unique requirements of that site.

SBM believes that its training records and documentation should be made available to our customers upon request. SBM utilizes a variety of documentation practices designed to ensure employee training is tracked & monitored. Training reports are made available electronically for our customers.
